Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • In January 2026, PROCON promoted leaders and retirements, signaling stable succession and bench depth.
  • June 2026 AGC of NH awarded PROCON Lighthouse Credit Union Headquarters for design-build excellence.
  • August 2026 projects include Easterseals campus expansion, Blair Talbot Motors, and Marlo on Mill Pond.

What critics are saying

  • Private-family succession concentrates control in one dynasty, limiting governance discipline and external challenge.
  • Construction backlogs depend on regional developers; a slowdown at Tidemark or The Kane hurts revenue.
  • Competitors can copy integrated delivery, and award-driven differentiation erodes after each project cycle.

What makes PROCON unique

  • John Stebbins became CEO in September 2023, extending the Stebbins family’s 91-year control.
  • PROCON runs a fully integrated design-build model, combining architecture, engineering, and construction in-house.
  • Its New England footprint wins marquee projects like Lighthouse Credit Union and Easterseals NH.
