Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 4-5 years of corporate communications experience, either in-house or at a strategic communications firm.
  • Understanding of and experience in the asset management industry and/or broader financial services industry is a must.
  • Experience with private credit, real estate and/or infrastructure communications is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to Ares’ investment teams.
  • Support the design and execution of tailored media relations programs that promote investment team priorities.
  • Pitch and respond to reporters from national print, newswire, radio, and broadcast media outlets.
  • Identify and secure external speaking engagement and high-profile media opportunities.
  • Draft communications (press releases, media talking points, Q&A, etc.) and manage internal and external review processes.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks with business-critical deadlines.
  • Support clipping, internal tracking and reporting and press release distribution.
  • Deliver fresh ideas, produce high-quality work, and drive results.
