Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Program Chair, faculty, and the offices of Clinical Practice, Recruitment, Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, and Certification Officer to ensure that each degree or certificate candidate is supported to complete the degree program or certificate requirements.
  • Assist the Program Chair and program advisors in managing student cases by creating case overviews, providing next steps, and following up each case to closure.
  • Advise a caseload of candidates in the program as determined by the Senior Director for Graduate Advisement, including performing applicable advising functions, attending advisor trainings and professional development events, scheduling advisement and support appointments, and completing other assigned advisor tasks.
  • Assist the Chair and the Academic Affairs team with procedures connected to early alerts and other aspects of student performance in courses, including probation letters, appeals, and academic integrity cases.
  • Coordinate paperwork and submit documentation to the Registrar and other offices for Incomplete Contracts, grade changes, course repeat forms, and grade appeals.
  • Organize, maintain, and update the programs' digital file storage systems to track items connected to student academic performance and other student issues.
  • Prepare reports and add data to various academic trackers as needed.
  • Keep current on the latest information from the New York State Department of Education that affects currently enrolled and graduating candidates.
  • Uphold the mission and values of Touro University and the Graduate School of Education.
  • Participate in cross-training for coverage of areas as needed.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree and experience in P-12 education are strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Tableau is preferred.
