- Applicants for aquatics positions must meet the listed minimum age of 16 or older; group fitness instructors and drop-in childcare applicants must be 18 or older; sports referee applicants must be 14 or older; and other listed customer service positions require the specified minimum age of 16 or 18.
- Successful applicants must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enroll in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.
- Temporary employees must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.
- Employees must be able to perform the duties of the applicable lifeguard, swim instructor, swim team coach, sports referee, group fitness instructor, childcare, customer service, custodian, front desk attendant, or building attendant assignment.
- Provide lifeguarding services at the indoor lap pool, indoor play pool, and seasonal West Jordan Outdoor Pool.
- Provide swim instruction and coach swim teams.
- Referee soccer, baseball, basketball, or tennis activities.
- Lead group fitness instruction.
- Provide drop-in childcare.
- Perform evening or weekend custodial duties.
- Staff the front desk or serve as a building attendant.
- Work in the applicable recreation-center service area assigned to the temporary position.
