Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years fast paced high volume recruiting customer Service or sales experience a plus
- Highly organized and effective under pressure. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and active listening skills
- High energy personality
- Ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level management
- Tech savvy
- Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and email
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
- Valid driver's license
- Clean MVR and driving record
- This is required to drive our company cars
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred
- Previous use of the TenStreet applicant tracking system
- Sales experience
Responsibilities
- Representing the Stevens Transport brand by helping us to stand out at job fairs, vocational schools, information sessions, recruiting events, and other opportunities
- Creating and leading Powerpoint presentations to CDL Academies
- Serving as the initial contact and the first impression for all driver applicants and promoting our compensation, benefits, company culture and long-term career potential
- Building, strengthening and maintaining relationships with potential candidates, vocational faculty members and industry resources to increase number of hires
- Following up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Conducting initial phone interviews and pre-qualify candidates who meet basic requirements
- Regularly checking in with management to understand the effectiveness of recruiting efforts
- Understanding the competitive landscape of driver recruiting and develop innovative ways for Stevens Transport to nurture candidates at various touchpoints along the recruiting/application/hiring journey
