Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in from an Accredited Institution
  • 8 years+ of relevant experience in the Vertical Transportation field
  • Familiarity with latest version of AutoCAD and PDF (Bluebeam and/or Adobe) MS Excel and Word required
  • Experience in elevator traffic analysis, design, and calculation software;
  • Possess basic understanding of proper system selection
  • Exhibit thorough understanding of applicable codes
  • Project management experience
Responsibilities
  • collaborate with our national Vertical Transportation team and manage the design and engineering of vertical transportation systems for a variety of projects (aviation, healthcare, education, commercial) for our Los Angeles and other offices
  • represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members
  • supervising, coordinating, and assigning various projects to be performed by the team (i.e., system design and project development)
  • Work in close contact with the entire design team to maintain interdisciplinary coordination with other trades/projects consultants
  • Monitor all correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, etc.
  • Prepare proposals and administering project contracts between Syska and the client
  • Assume responsible charge for the overall economic well-being of the assigned projects
  • Participate in QA/QC process of completed work by staff
  • Prepare vertical transportation analysis and perform system design calculations
  • Select equipment for use in building systems and write reports
  • Market capabilities both to internal and external clients
