Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of proven success selling complex software solutions (ideally SaaS) to life science and pharmaceutical clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Experience selling enterprise software, ERP, or procurement solutions is a plus.
  • Technical certifications in AI or Data Science are a plus.
  • Experience selling into pharma is a must-have.
  • A deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and experience selling pharmaceuticals is required.
  • Proven ability to build and deliver credible business value prop across multiple levels (ex. CXO, VP, Director levels of Science, Discovery, Innovation, Procurement, Operations and IT).
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (primarily within the US).
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute tailored technical AI sales strategies for each customer, including architecture drawings and customized presentations.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Science, Operations, Procurement, IT, Finance) within pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations highlighting the technical value and competitive advantages of BenchSci's AI software.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Partnerships, Product, Sales) to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive successful outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Provide technical training and understanding to internal customer facing teams.
