Requirements
- 8+ years of work experience in Risk management within Fintech/Banking in UK market
- Proficient in SQL, Experience with Python
- A standout colleague with the ability to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organization
- Ability to express concepts in concise fashion both in writing (policy writing experience is preferred) and verbally. Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively rigorous subject area like engineering, statistics, math, finance, economics, computer science desired
- Proven understanding of risk fundamentals (experience with both consumer and business risk management practices, an understanding of industry risk trends)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to lead multiple projects and priorities in parallel
Responsibilities
- Support Director, Risk Integration in establishing the risk appetite and developing the risk strategy
- Collaborate cross functionally with functional verticals to define strategic Risk roadmap, develop and implement Risk controls (adjudication strategy, policy, analytics, monitoring, reporting etc.)
- Development and evolution of the Risk playbook supporting M&A activities of Affirm including evaluation and integration aspects of M&A process
- Participate in due diligence of potential acquisitions and drive Risk aspects of the integration process for acquired portfolios to support the fulfillment of the acquisition thesis
