Job description:
Supports and applies foundation of Product Design and XR principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises judgment within defined parameters.
Responsibilities:
Designs portions of the industrial design and future XR based design processes for physical hardware products and systems based on established design requirements and concepts and in accordance with design strategy, practices, and guidelines.
Translates established ideas into project artifacts, such as sketches, storyboards, prototypes, and models as needed by the program and directed by the lead Industrial Designers.
Implements portions of industrial design plans, changes, specifications, and reusable design elements for new and existing products.
Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on industrial design and development.
Participates as a member of project team of other industrial designers and internal design and development partners to develop holistic, high-quality design solutions for low to moderately-complex projects, products, and services.
Education and Required:
Rising Senior in Professional Design University program
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with or understanding of basic design principles, theories, and concepts.
Basic knowledge of 2-D and 3-D CAD tools and software packages including XR systems.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
