Greif, Inc., an industrial packaging products manufacturer, has signed a new credit agreement, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The agreement includes a revolving credit facility of up to $800 million and a $100 million term loan. Both financing arrangements mature on 27 February 2031. The credit arrangement will provide Greif with financial flexibility to support working capital needs, strategic investments and general corporate purposes.
Greif reported first-quarter fiscal 2026 results that met expectations despite soft industrial demand, with adjusted EBITDA rising 24% year-over-year and margins expanding 260 basis points to 12.3%. The improvement was driven by structural cost optimisation delivering $65 million in run-rate savings, targeting $80–90 million by year-end. CEO Ole Rosgaard said volumes tracked as anticipated across segments, with mixed performance in customised polymer solutions and continued pressure in durable metal solutions. Management reaffirmed the lower end of fiscal 2026 guidance: $630 million adjusted EBITDA and $315 million adjusted free cash flow. The company completed $130 million of share buybacks and announced an additional $300 million repurchase authorisation, targeting up to 2% of shares repurchased annually. Leverage stands at approximately 1.2 times EBITDA.
