Responsibilities
  • Supports the ongoing implementation of the core business attributes of empowerment, accountability, and connectiveness.
  • Monitors resources for legislative and regulatory changes and analyzes impact to Western National products.
  • Identifies new requirements that may require policy and form language changes; implements rate, rule, and form changes to comply with statutory requirements.
  • Works with actuary on rate changes for assigned business lines; communicates changes to internal and external customers.
  • Holds responsibility for a minimum of two lines of business.
  • Researches trending coverage and risk exposures to protect the company, agencies, and policyholders from evolving risks.
  • Creates and manages state filings for assigned line(s) of business.
  • Participates in testing and auditing of assigned lines of business, both pre- and post-implementation.
  • Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards by responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.
