Responsible for enterprise-wide guidance, strategic program management leadership, and direction of tax focusing on monitoring, interpreting, and advising on domestic/international/cross-border taxation law to provide advice on tax implications of operating across multiple borders.
Essential Job Duties
- Research, analysis, advice, and planning of domestic and international tax issues.
- Development and implementation of tax planning initiatives, including oversight of reporting on various planning transactions via the annual compliance process.
- Accounting for income taxes – review and consolidation of tax provisions by Company subsidiaries.
- Defense of tax issues in IRS audits and appeals.
- Manage offshore staff resources involved in tax reporting for operations, including maintenance of earnings & profits, tax pools, and determination of available tax credits.
- Manage transfer pricing policies and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with international transfer pricing rules and prepare international pricing documentation
- Monitor domestic and international legislative changes that may impact the Company’s tax position, including tax accounting implications.
- Assume other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- Juris Doctorate
- 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate income taxation.
- Significant experience required in tax planning, research and compliance in a law or public accounting firm and/or large group corporate environment.
Preferred Requirements
- CPA.
- Post-merger/acquisition integration and reorganization experience.
- International tax software experience (ONESOURCE or Corptax).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
- Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
- Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
