- One to five years of customer service, insurance, or dental experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental software and Microsoft Office programs is required, along with the ability to learn new programs as needed.
- Handle financial information, perform insurance verification, and prepare end-of-day reports with quality control.
- Sort, open, distribute, scan, and photocopy mail.
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers.
- Greet visitors and patients.
- Schedule, verify, and confirm patient appointments.
- Explain procedures and services to patients using dental knowledge.
- Present financial policies and arrangements to patients.
- Collect co-payments and verify insurance coverage as appropriate.
- Track appointments affected by no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.
- An associate’s degree is preferred.
- One to five years of customer service, insurance, or dental experience is preferred.
