Cogsdale is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Development Team Lead to join our R&D team to work on our next generation Utility Enterprise software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of latest software technologies and passion for building market leading products.
What your impact will be:
- Lead the Nexus API team using Agile methodology, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Manage the daily activities of direct reports, aligning their tasks with the team’s priorities.
- Provide mentorship to direct reports and foster their professional development.
- Ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality code on time.
- Create detailed documentation for design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance decisions.
- Provide regular status reports on the progress of development activities.
- Conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
- Maintain high standards for the quality of code produced by the team.
- Conduct code reviews, requirement gathering sessions and provide development estimations for deliverables. Assist professional services, sales, and support teams as needed.
- Resolve defects and investigate and address production support incidents.
- Recommend and implement improvements to development, integration, and support practices and processes.
- Apply configuration management, version control, best practices, and standards.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js for backend development (or similar backend frameworks.)
- Experience with Angular for frontend development (or similar frontend frameworks.)
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL Server (or equivalent relational database management systems.)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Azure (or other cloud platforms.)
- Proficiency in Git for version control.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot for code assistance.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be beneficial.

This job operates in a professional office environment or remote home office location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Periods of stress may occur.
