Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in multithreading and concurrency concepts.
  • Expertise in Java 8 and above including lambdas, streams, and functional interfaces.
  • Knowledge on UI/UX principles and ability to design wireframes and translate them to interactive UI.
  • Experience with distributed systems, webservices architecture like REST, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and develop high quality Function Specifications to be passed on to a mix of onshore/offshore developers.
  • Ability to dig into system artifacts (Code, Flows, Data Models, Topology Diagrams) in order to interpret changes necessary based on business requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with multiple teams in various locations across the globe.
  • Key hands on resource with 5-7 years of software development experience (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Experience with Java 1.8 and above, React JS, JavaScript, CSS, Webservices, PLSQL.
  • Experience in tools like GIT, SQL Developer, Eclipse, Splunk, VSCode.
  • Familiar with SDLC, CICD, Harness or Jenkins, Cloud Services.
  • Additional experience on Spring and Spring boot is beneficial.
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Senior Analyst and business experts to review business requirements and to create Functional Specifications for State Street’s Custody and Accounting applications.
  • Primarily work to progress Business Requirements/Functional Specs into coding assignments and work on those assignments through the development life cycle (Dev, Test, Deploy).
  • Design and develop UI using React JS: component-based UI development, Redux for managing complex application state, Hooks for reusable stateful logic, and Context API providing data to multiple components, Javascript and Typescript knowledge along with CSS and HTML.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications with a focus on multithreading to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Design, query, and optimize relational database schemes using SQL standards and variations.
  • Work on applications that support Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Websphere / Kafka.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and implement new features.
  • Perform code reviews from junior developers to prepare for production deployments.
  • Be responsible for all change management tasks and audit requirements to ensure smooth deployments of code into production (Including but not limited to, deployment plans, code reviews, Service Now tickets).
  • Design, develop and test all code developed in applicable development and/or test environments including completion of appropriate SDLC/Agile/DPF audit documentation.
  • Work within either agile or waterfall development life cycles.
