Requirements
  • A degree in gerontology, nursing, social work, or a related field is preferred.
  • CDP certification or equivalent experience and formal dementia training is preferred.
  • Must meet the qualifications to support resident activities of daily living care and medication administration according to state requirements, where applicable.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an assisted living and memory care setting is required.
  • At least 2 years of dementia experience in a supervisory role is required.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, particularly Excel and Word, and comfort learning new programs are required.
  • The role requires accuracy, effective time management, initiative, professional ethics, and good judgment.
  • The role requires communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to motivate.
  • Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Must meet all mandatory health requirements according to state regulations.
  • Compassion, patience, and a special interest in working with the senior population living with dementia are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide training and orientation to all Care Partners and Medication Care Partners on the culture and standards of Cogir Revere Memory Care.
  • Assist in recruiting, supervising, and scheduling care staff according to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain the medication program under the oversight of the Health and Wellness Director.
  • Assist in performing resident assessments and reassessments according to policy.
  • Act as the contact for non-clinical resident-care issues in Memory Care.
  • Maintain resident satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality services.
  • Ensure resident records and charting are current and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the Lifestyles team to support Signature Lifestyle programming and resident engagement in Revere Memory Care.
  • Support residents experiencing distressed behavior through validation, care-plan-based non-pharmacologic prevention, and timely intervention.
  • Provide emotional support and education to families experiencing dementia.
  • Understand community care regulations and state-specific regulations.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities as needed.
  • Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in accordance with company, federal, state, and local requirements.
