Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering OR Associate’s Degree in similar field.
  • 3+ years of professional working experience
  • Experience in designing, documenting, and releasing harness drawings
  • General wire harness analysis, testing and qualification experience
  • Strong team working skills with a proven ability to effectively interact and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and excellent attention to detail
  • Capability to solve complex design problems to tight schedules with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, test, and validate moderately complex wire harnesses and assemblies, including connector installations.
  • Utilize 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Catia preferred) to design harness routing on integrated vehicle models.
  • Create 2D drawings and documentation for manufacturing wire harnesses in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
  • Familiarity with Mil-Spec connectors, wire, and the processes to assemble them.
  • Interpret wire harness and PCB schematics while troubleshooting complex system issues on cross-functional teams.
  • Develop, modify, and implement test and acceptance procedures for system validation and certification.
  • Support overall avionics system integration and subsystem verification activities, ensuring compliance with safety and aircraft certification requirements.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines (e.g., Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), Perception, Systems, Software, and Flight Test) to ensure robust system designs and seamless integration of avionics components.
  • Contribute to design reviews, providing technical insight and feedback on system integration, safety, and performance.
  • Perform hands-on calibration, configuration control, and testing of electronic equipment within the lab environment to ensure accurate performance and compliance with design standards.
