Manulife Bank’s Delivery team is seeking a passionate Product Owner to drive our mobile banking transformation in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. You will lead a squad dedicated to developing valuable mobile experiences for customers. With a natural curiosity and a love for data, you have a consistent track record of making data-driven decisions. You take initiative and have experience building platform capability roadmaps. You will demonstrate your technical background to lead product development, ensuring alignment with our digital strategy and customer needs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Clearly define and share the product vision and strategy with the squad, customers, and technology partners, giving priority to features that meet customer needs and align with market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and refine product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner closely with squads and FinTech partners to ensure timely delivery of product features and improvements, using your deep technology background for creative problem-solving.
- Lead PI Planning activities, ensuring features are refined and sized to deliver on commitments, and manage the product backlog to align with business goals. Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends, define key product metrics and KPIs, and iterate on product features based on feedback.
- Act as the main point of contact for collaborators, consistently updating them on project progress and effectively managing expectations across different business units.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in agile software development, particularly with mobile applications in the banking or fintech industry.
- Deep understanding of the mobile landscape and how users of mobile applications differ from web app user
- Experience using agile methodologies and human centered design principals to deliver value in a fast paced, matrixed environment.
- A background in computer science, information technology, or business is preferred. However, equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of mobile app development processes, UX/UI design principles, and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in challenging the team to deliver remarkable results and using APIs for creative solutions, along with strong A/B testing skills.
- Analytical mentality with a data-driven approach, capable of converting intricate business problems into successful digital experiences.
- Experienced in using agile methodologies and human-centered design principles to deliver value in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical collaborators.

$92,190.00 CAD - $171,210.00 CAD
