Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of Procurement experience managing IT, Facilities, and hardware commodity purchases, or equivalent relevant and pertinent experience
- Metrics driven, with the ability to exercise judgment and operate independently
Responsibilities
- Managing direct reports and promoting the utilization of procurement methodology through category management and strategic sourcing activities within the Indirect category space
- A big plus would be someone who also possesses strategic and technical experience in a corporate setting. In this role, you will report to Senior Purchasing Manager
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders aimed at identifying, understanding, and fulfilling their requirements
- Manage others and hire as business dictates
- Manage day to day indirect procurement function of purchase requests to purchase orders
- Identify cost savings opportunities and manages cost reduction activities to achieve annual cost reduction goal
- Initiate and execute vendor optimization plans for existing vendors to deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, and quality improvement
- Review existing contracts and understand business requirements; formulate guidelines and design standard vendor contract protocols
- Assist in development financial analytics to support commercial term negotiations with performance dashboards and ROI based evaluation tools
- Assist to establish vendor life-cycle strategy to oversee planning, sourcing and selection of new indirect suppliers, manage data for vendor performance and manage vendor off-boarding and transition
- Develop and maintain category strategies to meet business objectives (e.g. best cost, quality, service, resilience.) Ensure category strategy aligns with existing and future needs
- Proactively collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to lead contract negotiation with suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, fallback positions and acceptable terms and conditions through contract completion and identify key benchmarks to measure contractual arrangements
- Identify and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs without compromising supply assurance or quality
- Ability to implement Category Strategy, and perform Spend Analysis
- Create and report category activities on a regular basis
- Lead cross-functional teams in the identification of alternative product/suppliers facilitate qualification trials and conduct supplier management to drive continuous improvement
- Manage supplier contracts and any modifications within contracts (expiration dates, renewals)
- Create POs for relevant internal stakeholders, coordinate based on supplier's delivery conditions
