We work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across the company to analyze market opportunities, create winning strategies, and inform important decisions with insightful, data-driven recommendations based on a deep knowledge of the business, customers, and external market factors.

About the Role
During the internship, the Corporate Strategy intern will lead 1-2 strategy projects with guidance and support of others on the team. Much like a consultant, interns will be given latitude to research and solve problems as they see fit. Interns will be responsible for end-to-end project management, with the output ultimately being used to inform decision-making. The typical process for strategy work includes developing initial hypotheses; gathering and analyzing data; building analytical frameworks; identifying insights; and communicating recommendations to the wider organization. You will work under the guidance of senior team members to develop and refine your work in pursuit of meaningful insights.
The successful candidate must possess strong project managements skills to ensure work is impactful and delivered in a timely manner. Good critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are a must. You must be highly-motivated, a quick study, and able to stay organized in a dynamic environment. In addition to solid technical skills, you’ll also need to exhibit good judgment, professional maturity, and great people skills.
This is a role with significant exposure to company leadership and the opportunity to be considered for future full-time employment with demonstrated success.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly develop a working understanding of Bose’s vision, customers, markets, products, technologies, and business operations
- Spearhead 1-2 projects with direct relevance to Bose’ long-term strategy and market competitiveness
- Scope, plan, and manage project work, ensuring project timelines and goals
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and others across functions to understand needs and ensure insights are relevant and valuable
- Compile and analyze data across a range of internal and external sources
- Apply strategy frameworks and models to structure and simplify complex information into useful insights
- Develop polished, story-driven PowerPoint presentations summarizing key takeaways
- Present insights to key stakeholders and business leaders
Qualifications:
- Current MBA student
- 3-5 years’ pre-MBA experience in corporate business functions such as strategy, operations, marketing, product management, or similar area
- Experience managing and delivering projects on tight timelines
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; must be comfortable working with large data sets, pivot tables, and charts
- Proficient in PowerPoint, with a good eye for data visualization and storytelling
- Strong grasp of business concepts and strategy framework
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to lead discussions with team members of varying levels; comfortable interacting with senior leaders
- Must be a strong critical thinker who can apply logic and reasoning, formulate hypotheses, construct a well-reasoned conclusion, and engage in informed debate with peers
- Must be well organized and able to work independently against deadlines
- A winning attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- High level of professional integrity and discretion, comfortable working in a high-trust environment with exposure to confidential information
- A strong interest in consumer audio, music, and related technologies is extremely helpful!
