Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
  • 10 to 15 years of design and project/task management experience required
  • Florida Professional Engineer license required
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national permitting required
  • Knowledge of CADD required
Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide technical support for transportation/roadway design (local and Florida Department of Transportation), stormwater, potable water and wastewater, and general municipal civil engineering projects
  • Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
  • Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
  • Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Provide design/technical expertise to project
  • Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
  • Ensure project engineers have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
  • Maintain lasting client relationships
  • Generate additional sales through business development activities
  • Supervise engineering project review (QA/QC) process
  • Develop and complete applications, permits, reports and/or specifications as required
  • Assist with project reports and technical presentations
  • Attend client, staff and project meetings
  • Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
  • Maintain a safe working environment
