Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in sports equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of the non-athletic aid program.
  • Ability to use computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
  • Oral and written communication skills to work effectively with Dallas College staff at varying levels.
  • Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.
  • An Associate’s degree or higher and two years of experience in a teaching or coaching environment, or a high school diploma and four years of directly related experience in a teaching, tutoring, or training environment.
  • Understanding of National Junior College Athletic Association policies and philosophy.
  • Official transcripts are required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check; some positions may also require a fingerprint check.
  • Ability to perform physical duties involving the movement and lifting of light to moderately heavy materials or equipment, requiring physical strength and agility.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with coaching duties including practices, games, scouting, recruiting, player development, conditioning, and the off-season program.
  • Represent the college with external individuals and organizations within the college service area to advance the athletics program and community recreational offerings.
  • Maintain the athletic field, including mowing and trimming.
  • Collect and maintain student-athlete data to provide accurate information for reports and information about athletic programs.
  • Complete required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bilingual ability is preferred.
