Process Technician (Injection Molding)

Position Summary

At Amcor, safety is our guidingprincipleand people are at the center of everything we do. As aProcessTechnician(Injection Molding),you will playan important rolein supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. Working alongside experienced technicians and production leaders, you will develop foundational technicalskills ininjection molding processes, equipment operation, troubleshooting, quality systems, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and learning new technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Through training and mentorship, you will build the knowledge and experience needed to grow within Operations and Manufacturing.

What You'll Do

Safety & Environmental Responsibility

• Demonstrate Amcor's commitment to safety by following all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.

• Consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding requirements.

• Identifyand report safety concerns, hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through good housekeeping practices.

• Support environmental and sustainability initiativesin accordance withsite and company standards.

Process & Machine Support

• Assistwith machine start-ups, shutdowns, and routine production checks under the direction of senior technicians.

• Monitor equipment performance, cycle consistency, alarms, and product flow to support stable production.

• Perform basic process adjustments, as trained and directed, tomaintainquality and productivity standards.

• Support troubleshooting activities and escalate technical concerns when needed.

• Learn and follow standard operating procedures and process documentation.

Material & Production Support

• Ensure resin, colorants, additives, and other production materials are supplied to assigned equipment.

• Load and replenish materials using approved handling systems and equipment.

• Monitor hot-stamp foil usage and communicate potential supply or alignment concerns.

• Support inventory accuracy through proper material handling and documentation practices.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct routine in-process inspections to verify productsmeetquality specifications.

• Identifyand report defects such as flash, short shots, contamination, splay, or cosmetic concerns.

• Utilize basic measurement tools, including calipers and gauges, as trained.

• Accurately complete production, scrap, downtime, and quality documentation.

• Support a culture of quality by helping ensure products meetcustomerand regulatory requirements.

Teamwork & Communication

• Collaborate effectively with Operators, Packers, Team Leaders, Maintenance, Quality, and fellow Technicians.

• Communicateproduction, quality, and equipment concerns ina timelyand professional manner.

• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure smooth transitions and effective information sharing.

• Provide production support and workstation coverage as needed.

• Demonstrate Amcor values through teamwork, accountability, and respect for others.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical manufacturing processes.

• Ability to use or learn basic measuring equipment, including calipers and gauges.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previousmanufacturing, injection molding, or industrial experience.

• Experience working in a team-based production environment.

• Familiarity with quality inspections and production documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift on industrial flooring.

Lifting & Material Handling

• Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Utilize team lifts or mechanicalassistancefor loads exceeding established safety guidelines.

• Frequently push or pull carts, bins, pallet jacks, and production materials.

Manual Dexterity & Visual Requirements

• Use measuring tools, hand tools, controls, and equipment interfaces regularly.

• Perform detailed visual inspections of products and equipment.

• Maintain attention to detail whilemonitoringproduction quality and machine operation.

Work Environment

• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, elevated temperatures, and varying noise levels.

• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, gloves, and other task-specific protective equipment.

• Occasional exposure to manufacturing materials, resins, and odors within regulatory and safety limits.

Schedule Expectations

• Ability to work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts based on operational needs.

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift rotations asrequired.

• Dependable attendance and schedule flexibility are essential to supporting customer and production commitments.

Growth Opportunity

The Process Technician I role is an entry-level technical position that provides a development pathway toward Process Technician II, Process Technician III, Lead Technician, Maintenance, Engineering, and other manufacturing leadership opportunities within Amcor. Through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, employees are encouraged to expand their technical capabilities and contribute to continuous improvement across the operation.

Hourly Statement

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $22.00; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge,skillsand experience between $22.00and $25.00.$2.00differential mayapplyto second and third shifts.
