Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Six months of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Ability to read and understand written documents is required.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment, lift varying weights, push or pull carts of wheels, stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day, and wear required personal protective equipment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Follow safety rules and housekeeping guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain good attendance and report to work on time.
  • Follow instructions and complete daily job assignments and key performance indicators.
  • Complete required paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.
  • Transfer blanks from storage to fine machine cells.
  • Load, mark, unload, and visually inspect wheels.
  • Use calibrated go/no-go gauges to check wheel dimensions and determine whether wheels are within tolerance.
  • Rework nonconforming wheels and load them back onto the conveyor.
  • Move wheels to designated machines to maintain product flow through the correct machine.
  • Check the results of the automatic surfacing process.
  • Operate FEMCO machines and remove wheels from machines.
  • Perform other assigned or designated duties.
