Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline and 5 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing engineering in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • 4 years of experience using LEAN principles such as DFT (Design Flow Technology), Value Stream mapping, and 5S, in addition to concepts in Six Sigma quality statistical analysis of processes in an electro-mechanical environment.
  • 4 years of experience in manufacturing science including scheduling, inventory line management/yield analysis, capacity planning, and optimization.
  • 3 years of experience setting up Manufacturing Production lines.
  • 2 years of experience in area tool configurations, capabilities, process development, and mechanical functionality.
  • 2 years of experience with data extraction, data analysis, auditing, and reporting.
  • 2 years of experience communicating with customers regarding issues related to product failures on the field, product failure analysis, report generation, and problem-solving utilizing 8D methodology.
  • 1 year of experience with DOE, gauge R&R, test method validation, equipment specification development, and process verification and validation.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee quality standards and protocols for products built at Brooks and at contract manufacturers;
  • Oversee the development, modification, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control plans, and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products;
  • Manage assigned product failure analysis and report generation, and present to customers;
  • Conduct problem solving utilizing 8D methodology;
  • Drive performance improvements through Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams;
  • Ensure that corrective actions (CAPA) are completed in accordance with relevant ISO requirements (ISO 9001) and Advance Problem Solving methods, and that documentation is complete and compliant with requirements;
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare metrics detailing field product quality;
  • Manage quality data for accuracy and report generation;
  • Collect, treat, and interpret data, and analyze results using statistical techniques;
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets;
  • Enhance data capture and analysis in support of internal and external quality improvement and reporting efforts;
  • Serve as a resource for aggregating, analyzing, and displaying statistically-oriented data;
  • Participate in quality meetings with Brooks Manufacturing or contract manufacturing where applicable;
  • Support factory process certification activities for new product introductions (NPI process);
  • Support the design and analysis of inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications;
  • Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; and
  • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
