What this job involves - The Environmental Health and Safety Manager at JLL is responsible for managing the environmental health and safety programs for a prominent tech client account. This role requires strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. The EHS Manager will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, promoting a safe work environment, and supporting the implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the environmental health and safety (EHS) programs for the client account, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their EHS needs, goals, and objectives.
- Implement and enforce EHS policies and procedures, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to EHS standards.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental health and safety.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on safe practices and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
- Maintain EHS documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Promote awareness and engagement in EHS practices among employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations and projects.
- Stay informed about EHS regulations, best practices, and emerging trends, implementing relevant updates.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, promoting EHS initiatives and engagement among employees.
- Verify accuracy and integrity of EHS-related data and documentation, ensuring appropriate controls and reporting mechanisms are in place.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are preferred.
- Proven experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in a corporate or real estate setting.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Excellent understanding of EHS principles and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of real estate or property management industry is a plus.
Estimated total compensation for this position:
124,800.00 – 160,000.00 USD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
