Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional, courteous, and appropriate relationships with patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Participate in departmental performance and quality-improvement activities, including data collection, analysis, implementation, risk-management and claims activities, Continuous Quality Improvement teams, and compliance with safety, security, infection-control, and patient-service policies.
  • Maintain office services and design and implement office policies.
  • Establish standards and procedures and organize office operations and procedures.
  • Supervise more than three employees, including secretaries and receptionists.
  • Prepare the KRONOS timekeeping report.
  • Review and approve supply requisitions.
  • Liaise with other departments, agencies, and groups.
  • Maintain office equipment.
  • Assign and monitor clerical and secretarial functions.
  • Recruit and select office staff.
  • Orient, train, coach, and discipline employees and provide on-the-job and other training opportunities.
  • Evaluate staff performance.
  • Design filing systems and ensure they remain current and up to date.
  • Define procedures for record retention.
  • Protect and secure files and records.
  • Ensure effective transfer of files and records and transfer or dispose of records according to retention schedules and policies.
  • Ensure personnel files are current and secure.
  • Plan and implement office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Maintain and replenish inventory, check stock levels, anticipate supply needs, and verify receipt of supplies.
