Radiant Nuclear develops compact nuclear microreactors aimed at providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions, especially for remote locations and military use. Their main product, the Kaleidos microreactor, utilizes a CO2 cycle for energy production, making it smaller and more portable than traditional reactors. This design allows it to be deployed in challenging environments. Radiant's focus is on research and development, generating revenue primarily through government contracts, including a significant award from the Department of Defense. Unlike many competitors, Radiant leverages expertise from veterans of high-tech industries like SpaceX, which enhances their technological capabilities. The company's goal is to transform the nuclear energy sector by offering efficient and portable power solutions.
