Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 207, 208, 210, 211, and 820, cGMP, cGDP, and ICH E2D guidelines.
  • Proven experience managing Master Repackaging Records, technical change control impact assessments, and adverse event and complaint intake workflows.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems and approaches.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to perform investigations and root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
  • Ability to perform gap assessments against applicable requirements.
  • Understanding of quality concepts including cost of quality, analytical metrics and statistics, trending, quality planning, validation, CAPA, and problem solving.
Responsibilities
  • Manage quality programs, policies, and operational procedures to minimize risks and drive supply chain integrity across Cardinal Health operations and private label pharmaceutical product lines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal-Regulatory, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to resolve complex quality issues and execute change management workflows.
  • Lead quality audits.
  • Serve as a primary Quality Assurance Approver, Change Control Owner or Coordinator, and process overseer within the Veeva Vault Electronic Quality Management System.
  • Oversee complaint intake and processing for private label portfolios.
  • Administer Master Repackaging Record change requests and manage Veeva Vault change controls, standard operating procedures, and temporary or emergency change workflows.
  • Lead a team of Quality Assurance Specialists and manage day-to-day Quality department operations.
  • Supervise Quality Assurance Specialists by delegating work, setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing guidance on complex quality issues.
  • Manage department operations and supervise professional employees, supervisors, and support staff.
  • Participate in developing and executing policies and procedures to achieve quality and compliance goals.
  • Ensure supervised employees and cross-functional teams operate within established quality and regulatory guidelines.
  • Drive consensus among Regulatory, Stability, Supplier Management, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Manage the authoring, revision, periodic review, and approval of SOPs, Work Instructions, Form Templates, and User Guides in Veeva Vault QualityDocs.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures reflect daily execution across call center intake, quality product support, change control workflows, and distribution center operations.
  • Oversee complaint intake workflows for CAHPPL brand portfolios and enforce intake processing timelines.
  • Classify intake contacts in Veeva Vault into labeling complaints, packaging complaints, product quality complaints, inquiries or follow-ups, and not-product-quality complaints.
  • Ensure intake records capture the ICH E2D minimum data set for adverse events and oversee follow-up inquiries with reporters.
  • Manage operational touchpoints with the external call center and Product Support, provide Master Product Datasheets and Item Lists, track Caller Identification Numbers, and oversee manual intake contingency workflows during system downtime.
  • Validate completed intake records and promote them to full Complaint Records for secondary processing and investigation under SOP-04886.
  • Interpret requirements and educate and influence others on those requirements.
  • Serve as Quality Assurance Approver, Final Quality Assurance Approver, Change Control Owner, or Change Control Coordinator in Veeva Vault for new product launches, new NDC or UPC numbers, repackaging site changes, Approved Supplier List updates, and planned deviations.
  • Oversee temporary change controls with defined life cycles and expiration dates and emergency change controls for immediate regulatory or operational corrections.
  • Manage change records through all Veeva Vault processing states from initiation through closure.

  • Eight or more years of experience in a related field.

Cardinal Health forecast fiscal 2027 profit between $12.40 and $12.60 per share, exceeding analyst expectations of $12.04, driven by strong demand for specialty drugs. The US drug distributor's shares rose over 4% in premarket trading. The company's fourth-quarter adjusted profit of $2.91 per share beat estimates of $2.42. However, total revenue of $63.67 billion missed expectations of $65.03 billion. Cardinal Health is benefiting from rising demand for biosimilars and high-margin medicines treating cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and autoimmune diseases. Its Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions unit saw sales increase 6% to $55.4 billion. Last month, Cardinal purchased AdaptHealth's diabetes business and Strive Medical for approximately $360 million combined. Cardinal Health has agreed to acquire multi-specialty supply company Strive Medical and AdaptHealth's diabetes business for a combined $360 million in cash. The drug distributor said the acquisitions will expand its at-home solutions business, which delivers medical supplies directly to patients. The company's at-home unit generated $1.7 billion in revenue during its third quarter this year, helping grow profit by 34% year over year.
