Job Description Summary
**This position pays $25.00 per hour.
The Health Education Data Intern performs basic epidemiologic and statistical analyses for Weld County as part of the Population Health and Data Analytics Unit. Specific tasks may include data collection, data management, data analysis, and data reporting. The Health Education Data Intern may also be asked to assist with program evaluation and survey tool creation. This position is located within the Health Education, Communication, and Planning Division.
This position will work about 15-20 hours/week, with the total number of hours ranging from 120-180.

Job Description
Data Analytics Assistance - 100%:
- Maintain community health survey mailing list.
- Complete data entry and validation tasks related to Community Health Assessment data
- Complete data cleaning and recoding tasks related to Community Health Assessment data.
- Perform descriptive and inferential statistics to support data-driven decision making for population-based program planning.
- Analyze response rate tracking data related to Community Health Assessment data.
- Utilize statistical methods using SAS, ArcGIS, Tableau, or other statistical and/or visualization software to perform data analysis and reporting.
- Use effective verbal and written communication to prepare reports and summaries.
- Design, develop, and produce print or web-based data visualization products that communicate public health data to appropriate stakeholders.
- Adhere to County work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior.
- Adhere to County policies governing the observation of confidentiality and the handling of confidential information.
- Assume personal and professional responsibilities for his or her actions and activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with County employees, customers and so forth.
- Utilize a courteous, enthusiastic, open-minded, critical approach to policies and procedures within the profession.
- Relate and apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the County setting.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, epidemiology, evaluation, informatics, biostatistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 credits in a Research Methods, Biostatistics, Statistical Computing, or similar coursework involving SAS programming.
- A combination of education and data analytics experience may be considered.
This position is non- exempt compensation to determine FLSA status from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
