Requirements
  • A minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Crisis intervention, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.

  • Basic computer skills are required for completing intakes, time sheets, email, and daily logs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide support to shelter residents.
  • Monitor residents' activities within the shelter environment, complete the daily shift-log checklist, and review and record the communication log during each shift.
  • Conduct security wanding upon resident admission and perform random wand checks.
  • Monitor the physical facility by making rounds every half hour and conducting periodic inspections to ensure rooms are clean, the facility is secure, and clients comply with house rules.
  • Refer residents to alternative emergency shelter providers when program beds are unavailable.
  • Maintain basic records by performing electronic intakes in the database and completing accurate timesheets in ADP in a timely manner.
  • Check individual work email daily.
  • Attend and participate in monthly staff and resident meetings.
  • Attend relevant in-service training and conferences as requested.
  • Complete all mandatory in-person and online training in a timely manner.
  • Clean linens and maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including its interior and perimeter.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate Degree is preferred.
