Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 0-1 year of related work experience is required.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Responsibilities
  • Assembles all medical record types according to standard chart order.
  • Utilizes Meditech discharge lists to monitor the completion of all daily discharges.
  • Reviews assembled record for required contents and accurately completes the medical record completion form for any missing items (includes reviewing Meditech PCI for dictated reports that may need e-signature).
  • Records accurately any physician incomplete record item into the Meditech Incomplete Record program.
  • Records and reprints any missing record documentation such as the Laboratory Discharge Summary, Radiology reports, and Nursing Documentation.
  • Provides back-up for chart mergers and resolution of the transcription error report.
  • Assists with requests for medical record information (ROI).
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy/physiology and medical terminology preferred.
  • TD-4 filing and knowledge of Federal/State medical record completion requirements preferred.
