Requirements
  • Meet one of the following backgrounds: former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer and Advanced Leader Course graduate; former Navy Enlisted Classification 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman at E-6 or above; former Air Force 4NOX1 or Aerospace Medical Service 4NOX1 at E-6 or above; or currently licensed Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician.
  • Hold Nationally Registered Paramedic and Basic Life Support certifications.
  • Deliver and support emergency medical, tactical trauma, or combat casualty care training in classroom, laboratory, and field environments.
  • Maintain current medical certifications throughout the contract and complete annual TC 8-800 recertification.
  • Review documents, maintain electronic files, manage spreadsheets, tracking logs, suspense actions, training records, student evaluations, and After-Action Review documentation.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, standard office equipment, and Government information systems.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Manage multiple records and deadlines and communicate professionally with military, civilian, medical, recruiting, and contractor personnel.
  • Resolve administrative and minor performance issues and complete reports, rosters, and deliverables on time.
  • Oversee adherence to training standards, security protocols, and classroom requirements.
  • Stand, walk, and move throughout training environments for extended periods; lift and carry medical training equipment up to 50 pounds; kneel, crouch, and work at ground level; work outdoors in varying weather; and use manual dexterity to apply moulage and operate patient simulators.
  • Complete required antiterrorism, iWatch, Operations Security, cybersecurity, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention, onboarding, and TC 8-800 training.
  • Register in the Army Training Certification Tracking System and comply with Controlled Unclassified Information, HAZMAT, OSHA, EPA, and applicable military requirements.
  • Be eligible for and obtain a Common Access Card requiring a minimum Tier 1 investigation.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and remain subject to random drug screens.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver Tactical Combat Casualty Care training across all four tiers: All Service Members, Combat Lifesaver, Combat Medic, and Combat Paramedic.
  • Instruct 68W Combat Medic sustainment training and Combat Lifesaver initial and sustainment training for non-medical personnel.
  • Conduct training in classroom, laboratory, and field training and evaluation environments.
  • Assess students' critical thinking and psychomotor skills under high-fidelity simulated conditions.
  • Utilize approved scenario-based training according to course Training Circulars or medical-proponent approval.
  • Apply moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatrical special effects to simulate realistic injuries and environments.
  • Assess students using grading sheets for individual scenarios and ensure training content is approved by the appropriate medical proponent.
  • Operate Medical Simulation Training Center systems, including ISS, VPS, and MT-C2; configure and execute realistic training scenarios; and apply moulage and simulation effects.
  • Contribute to Monthly Staffing Report data, document and report accidents and incidents, and maintain training records, student evaluations, and After-Action Review documentation.
  • Operate and perform operator-level preventive maintenance on patient simulators, manikins, and medical training equipment.
  • Follow original equipment manufacturer instructions for equipment requiring extended service agreement repair.
  • Inventory and manage consumables, notify the Contracting Officer's Representative when supplies are required, and initiate equipment repair and condition-status reports.
  • Notify the W-TRS maintainer through the ACA about equipment failures outside extended service agreement coverage.
  • Participate in Quality Control Plan activities, including peer observations, self-assessments, and After-Action Reviews.
  • Participate in instructor development programs and cross-site standardization initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Life Support certification.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care provider or instructor certification.
  • Experience with medical simulation Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations, such as SimMan 3G, MTC2, or Cut Suit.
  • Prior Medical Simulation Training Center or medical simulation experience.
  • Experience with moulage techniques and theatrical special effects for high-fidelity scenarios.
  • Familiarity with TC 8-800 tables and the Deployed Medicine curriculum.
