As a Reinsurance Consultant, you will focus on supporting our Field Sales team within a specific geographic zone, working closely with zone leadership. Your primary responsibility will be to help the sales team engage with Automotive Dealer Principals and profit-participating owners to select and optimize their participating structures related to finance & insurance products. You will leverage your subject matter expertise to provide strategic consultation, drive improvements in participation structure portfolios, and ensure alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal teams to deliver actionable insights and effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage structure consulting activities in a designated sales zone, qualify reinsurance candidates, and coordinate information for business plans, trust accounts, and tax returns. Collaborate with dealer partners and internal resources to recommend improvements.
- Provide valuable consultation to Automotive Dealer Principals on profit participation solutions to meet their goals. Proactively evaluate and recommend improvements to portfolios, fostering strong relationships and enhancing business retention.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with Dealer Principals, CFOs, CPAs, legal advisors, management companies, and trustees. Assist Field Sales with dealer interactions via meetings, virtual consultations, calls, and written correspondence regarding structure options, investments, and proformas.
- Use sales projections to develop solutions for at-risk Section 831(b) reinsurance companies. Ensure compliance with IRS limits and business purposes.
- Assist in providing training to the Field Sales team on participation structures and related concepts and support escalations in the formation processes. Participate in annual reviews with reinsurance partners to assess and refine structures using actuarial related data as needed.
- Maintain a strong understanding of participation structure agreements and related documents to expedite review and approval, and effectively explain them to dealer customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience with automotive F&I participation structures, including Reinsurance and Dealer Owned Warranty companies, along with a strong understanding of related financial products, services, and associated tax implications.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective consultation skills with ability to build and maintain relationships with automotive dealer customers, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with an aptitude for data analysis and reporting, along with comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
This will be a remote position for anyone living outside of Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach counties. For candidates within those counties, it will be a 3-day, in-office, hybrid position
The pay range for this position is 71,291 - 148,067. Actual base pay will be determined by factors including candidate experience and qualifications, education and work location.
