Job description:

We are looking for a responsible, kind, fun, detail-oriented and hard-working Staff Accountant with a strong focus in Accounts Receivable. This role reports directly to the Accounting and Financial Systems Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, customer service and organizational skills, with a proficiency in Accounting. Familiarity with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel software programs is valued.

The position offers an opportunity for growth within the Accounting Department and other related departments, based entirely on the candidate’s skill set, aptitude and exhibited desire for advancement.

What will you be doing:

• Process new customer orders and customer contract renewals
• SaaS revenue recognition consistent with ASC606
• Excel analysis per direction from CFO, Controller or Accounting Manager
• Support month-end close requirements around billing and collections
• Proactively reach out to customers and collect payments
• Provide billing and customer support to customers and partners
• Process check or cash payments in NetSuite and make all bank deposits
• Download daily credit card batch reports
• Maintain AR files thoroughly and accurately
• Perform contract review to ensure accuracy of billing
• Process Invoices/Credit Memos to the accounting system
• Send invoices to customers and respond to follow-up inquires
• Process quotes and invoices for customers accurately
• Ad hoc accounting duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 4 year college degree in Accounting, Economics or related field
• 1yr+ of experience in a busy, fast paced office in accounting or auditing
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong data entry skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required and NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of team

Compensation:

The base salary for this role is $55,000 - $70,000. Please note that our salary ranges are based on current market data and the offered compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and other factors permitted by law.
