- Cross-trains as needed to support departmental needs
- Monitors cases
- Understands and works with x-ray system, including panning table and recognizing different angles
- Manages access site including proper removal of sheath, assessment of hematoma and knowledge of hematoma management
- Understands concepts of radiation safety
- Knowledgeable in coronary anatomy and recognizing different types of lesions
- Basic knowledge of supply features and applications to procedure
- Knowledge and adherence to sterile technique
- Able to communicate effectively with team, patients, families and medical staff
- Cath Lab: Assists in procedures such as complex PCI including CTO, Able to assist with complex procedures; including multiple wire exchanges and able to use long wires and OTW balloons
- Should be able to use specialty devices such as rotablater, CSI, laser and shockwave
- May participate in structural heart cases
- Able to troubleshoot emergency equipment (balloon pump and ventricular assist device)
- Assists in scrub role for procedures such as right & left heart catherization, PCIs and STEMIs
- EP Lab: Assists in advanced EP procedures (such as lead Extractions at some sites, complex ablations and stims independently)
- Assist in scrub role for procedures such as cardiac ablations and device implants, ECDs, generator changes, loop recorders
- Registered as ARRT with CI credential or RCIS or RCES

Why you need to treat social media as a customer service channel. July 22, 2026 When Laura Kuechenmeister started leading the social team at Emory Healthcare, she came with a publishing mindset. It didn't take long for her to realize she also needed to think about social media from a customer service perspective. Laura Kuechenmeister, former corporate director of content marketing and design at Emory Healthcare, now senior marketing manager at City of Hope, Atlanta "Publishing is the way most brands still think about social media, even in 2026," she says, "but early on, people started using platforms like Twitter to complain to brands about their experience." Retail brands have spent years training customers to use social media for complaints, questions, and customer service. Consumer habits don't change when they're dealing with a healthcare organization, even when their private health information is involved. But healthcare organizations haven't kept pace. Kuechenmeister comments, "Even though it's been happening for so long, in the healthcare space we worry about the risk of engaging in public comments with people who might be prospective patients, and so we've really restrained ourselves."
