Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a product strategy that integrates AI-driven data contextualization and semantic modeling into the EOP roadmap
  • Champion the foundational Data Fabric, enabling scalable ingestion, harmonization, and semantic enrichment of OT data
  • Drive adoption of knowledge graphs and ontologies to unify data across disparate automation systems and domains
  • Evangelize the strategic role of contextualized data in enabling predictive analytics, autonomous workflows, and digital twins
  • Represent the platform’s vision in internal and external forums, positioning the company as a thought leader in intelligent operations
  • Lead innovation initiatives focused on transforming raw industrial data into contextualized, actionable insights using AI and semantic technologies
  • Monitor market trends in AI, data fabrics, and industrial knowledge graphs to ensure competitive differentiation
  • Guide the development of intelligent data services (e.g., semantic search, anomaly detection, root cause analysis) powered by machine learning
  • Define and manage product roadmaps that incorporate semantic interoperability, data lineage, and explainability
  • Oversee release planning, ensuring milestones reflect the integration of contextualization and AI capabilities

Emerson Acquires AspenTech for $265/Share

Emerson has completed its acquisition of all outstanding shares of Aspen Technology, making AspenTech a wholly owned subsidiary. The acquisition followed a tender offer for $265 per share, with 72% of shares tendered. AspenTech's shares have ceased trading on NASDAQ. Antonio Pietri will retire as CEO, with Vincent M. Servello appointed as President. The transaction was advised by Goldman Sachs, Centerview Partners, and Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Emerson to Acquire AspenTech for $7.2B

Emerson has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of AspenTech that it does not already own for $265 per share, in a deal valued at $7.2 billion. Emerson currently holds approximately 57% of AspenTech's shares. Once the transaction is completed, AspenTech will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Emerson. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025.
