Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead among store team members, identify and work toward store priorities, and deliver guest service.
  • Learn to drive guest experience and impact store financial, team, and operational performance.
  • Work alongside a mentor to learn how to lead a department within the store.
  • Lead a mentor's departments with guidance and support.
  • Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide an exceptional guest experience.
  • Participate in ongoing development conversations.
  • Lead and support daily operations by working with team members to build culture and guide the team to grow and achieve goals.
  • Spend time on the sales floor and in the backroom leading team members and aligning the team on daily business priorities.
  • Work alongside the Executive Team Lead mentor and other leaders to understand their roles.
  • Lead daily priorities, including stocking shelves, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, and helping build store displays.
  • Partner with leaders on team member performance by teaching, coaching, training, and delivering timely performance feedback.
  • Address team member concerns and remove hurdles to ensure smooth operations and goal attainment.
  • Lead or present at daily huddles with peers and the leadership team.
  • Plan daily goals and organize plans within the building.
  • Provide summaries of results and priorities to the peer and leadership team.
  • Work with store leaders to set goals and expectations.
  • Review business reporting and guest insights to understand, troubleshoot, and follow up on opportunity areas.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to resolve guest issues.
  • Provide new ideas and recommend solutions to business or team opportunities.
  • Seek opportunities for growth and development and continuously learn throughout the internship.
  • Learn Target's leadership expectations and pursue personal development by asking questions and seeking feedback.
  • Participate actively in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and events.
  • Take strategic risks and accept new assignments.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead the team to work accordingly and hold others accountable.
  • Work safely, identify and correct hazards, and comply with safety policies and best practices.
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable, safe, and secure culture.
  • Carry out the principal duties and responsibilities of the department.
  • Develop business acumen by gaining an understanding of all business areas.
  • Greet guests while completing daily tasks and create a welcoming experience.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
  • Thank guests and let them know Target appreciates their visit.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
