- 7-10 years of strong technical competency and experience testing web applications and services, preferably testing systems built in Javascript/Typescript or Go
- Proven experience in architecting and building a test framework from scratch
- Experience writing and implementing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents
- Experience with Docker-based workloads using Kubernetes or other orchestration software on Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS
- Strong organization and communication to work well across teams
- Passionate about self-driving technology and its impact
- Champion the overall test strategy for Remote Assistance web services and build a roadmap of test infrastructure improvements
- Architect and develop Remote Assistance's automated end-to-end integrated test framework
- Set up, configure, and maintain test environments in collaboration with SRE and Quality partners at Cruise
- Set and uphold high quality standards by approving, validating, and crafting test plans in technical designs
- Build tools to enhance and enable statistical analysis of quality
- Understanding of Typescript/Javascript and dynamic frontend fundamentals
- Experience with test tooling in the Javascript ecosystem, such as Cypress or Puppeteer
- Experience with developing test strategies for sophisticated software systems scaling to millions of users with production-quality deployment, monitoring and reliability
- Experience building test frameworks for distributed systems with distributed database systems
- Experience with video streaming technologies and protocols such as WebRTC and HLS
- Experience with REST APIs, gRPC and WebSockets
