- Coursework or experience in applied quantum information theory (QCVV, channel/noise analysis, algorithms/QEC, optimized control theory, data analysis for quantum experiments, etc.)
- Familiarity with mathematical software development, preferably python-based, or alternatively Matlab, Mathematica, Julia, C/C++, etc., is a must.
- Prior in-depth interaction with experimental groups.
- Doctoral degree in physics, applied physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar field adjoining applied quantum information.
- Assist the HRL team in evaluating the performance and quantum-control possibilities for spin-qubits, entangled photons, and/or other quantum systems, with an emphasis on computational methods.
- Exhibit abilities to read and to produce robust source code and associated mathematical analysis for numerical evaluation of methods to characterize qubits or photonic systems.
- Interact with experimental practitioners.
- Provide critical input to developing methods for building and characterizing complex quantum experiments.
