Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • PACRE launched in March 2025, expanding DuBois' pretreatment portfolio with patent-pending technology.
  • ISO 9001 certification remains valid through March 2027, supporting regulated-customer trust.
  • Broadmoor's October 2025 deal brings new customers and cross-sell opportunities immediately.

What critics are saying

  • Broadmoor integration risks service disruption, customer churn, and margin slippage through 2026.
  • Private equity ownership since 2019 creates exit pressure that can override long-term reinvestment.
  • A failed water-solutions pivot would leave DuBois exposed to slower industrial-chemicals demand.

What makes DuBois Chemicals unique

  • DuBois sells customized specialty chemistries across water treatment, cleaning, metalworking, and sanitization.
  • Altas Partners has owned DuBois since 2019, backing disciplined buy-and-build expansion.
  • The 2025 Broadmoor acquisition deepens water-treatment coverage across the United States and Canada.
