Social Media Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
Byte&Kite is a digital marketing agency helping clients across a range of industries build and grow their brands through effective digital marketing. As a Social Media Manager, you will own organic social media for a portfolio of client brands, from strategy and content planning through production, publishing and community management. You will adapt your content and communication style to different audiences and brand voices while working directly with clients and internal creative teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own social strategy and content calendars for multiple client brands

• Produce platform-native content, including short-form video

• Manage community engagement and response within agreed service levels

• Report on engagement and audience growth against agreed baselines

• Handle escalations and negative sentiment following the client's agreed protocol

• Brief designers and video editors, and review their output before it goes to the client

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years managing brand social accounts, not personal ones

• Named handles you can evidence you personally managed

• Hands-on short-form video production for at least one platform

• Demonstrable ability to write in a voice that is not your own

• Judgement on when to respond publicly and when to escalate

NICE TO HAVE
Agency experience; experience managing multiple client accounts; familiarity with paid social campaigns; influencer or creator coordination experience; basic video editing skills; and experience using social media analytics and scheduling tools.
