Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of customer-facing technology project management experience.
  • Experience working on at least 3 technology projects involving technology users and requirements gathering.
  • Experience on at least 1 project involving a police department or other law enforcement agency.
  • Experience with at least 3 meaningful Requests for Proposals engagements, including at least 1 Request for Proposals as the primary author.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong documentation skills focused on project implementation and production support requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience creating and working with Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and scale.
  • A detail-oriented approach with strong attention to project and documentation requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative-work skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a Project Implementation Plan and Schedule.
  • Identify relevant technology requirements and contract details.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders through a review of business units and personnel.
  • Conduct a needs assessment of the client's technical scope and requirements through discussions with stakeholders.
  • Work directly with technology users to gather, document, and analyze technology requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers and multiple project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of Requests for Proposals and Invitations for Bid.
  • Produce a final Request for Proposals and Invitation for Bid for the procurement of public safety software, hardware, and professional services.
  • Ensure project documentation comprehensively addresses implementation and ongoing production support needs.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Present project information, requirements, findings, and recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
  • Manage multiple priorities while adapting to changing project requirements and timelines.
Desired Qualifications
  • PMP certification, unless equivalent experience demonstrates the necessary project management capabilities.
