Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in facilities management, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, building systems repair, or related technical field
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical building systems
  • Mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and instructions
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance principles and practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols and facility safety requirements
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Professional communication skills for vendor and occupant interactions
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and materials as needed
  • Capability to work outdoors, on roofs, and in various environmental conditions
  • Proficient use of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule with flexibility for after-hours facility needs and occasional weekend work
Responsibilities
  • Building Systems Maintenance: Maintain and repair HVAC ducting, plumbing systems, electrical components, floors, walls, doors, and other facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Routine Inspections: Conduct scheduled inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential problems, safety hazards, and maintenance needs before they escalate
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for building systems and equipment to maximize operational efficiency and lifespan
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve technical issues within building systems to maintain smooth facility operations and minimize downtime
  • Safety & Compliance Management: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and company policies while maintaining facility compliance standards
  • Facility Support Services: Assist with groundskeeping, carpentry projects, space moves, cleaning tasks, landscaping, snow removal, and waste management as needed
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs while preparing reports for facility management review
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, projects, and service requirements
  • Emergency Response: Address urgent facility issues promptly to maintain building functionality and occupant safety
