- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in RF engineering.
- Experience in the design, development, and testing of RF hardware for space applications.
- Experience using high-speed ADCs and DACs.
- Strong understanding of RF systems and technologies.
- Experience with RF circuit design software (AWR Microwave Office preferred).
- Experience with schematic capture (Mentor Graphics tools preferred).
- Experience with RF analysis using tools including (but not limited to) AWR Microwave Office, AWR VSS and Ansys HFSS.
- Experience with high-speed clocking solutions for RF components.
- Understanding of DSP and modulation concepts.
- Experience with high profile briefings to internal executives and customers.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (hardware/software) to produce advanced RF payloads and/or digital systems.
- Proven ability to develop and analyze technical requirements, perform trade studies, conduct major design reviews (e.g. PDR and/or CDR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers.
- Hands-on hardware experience with flight hardware.
- Knowledge of RF test and measurement.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills.
- Design, develop, and test RF hardware for space applications, including software defined radios.
- Work with other engineers to develop and implement RF system architectures.
- Perform RF system analysis and simulation, including at the payload level, with an understanding of the signal chain from the antenna to the radio and back.
- Develop and execute RF test plans.
- Interact with customers and vendors to gather requirements and resolve issues.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest RF technologies.
- Assist in proposal and business development efforts as needed
