Job Title: RPA Engineer – Blue Prism Next Gen
Location: Remote from the following states only: TX, NH, VA, AZ, NC, SC, FL, or CO.
This is a full-time W2 contractor role with full benefits package. Contract will initially start at six months, with likely extensions.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled RPA Engineer with expertise in Blue Prism Next Gen to design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent automation solutions. The RPA Engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders, process analysts, and IT teams to automate business processes, optimize workflows, and ensure sustainable automation solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Development
Analyze business processes and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable Blue Prism Next Gen solutions.
Build, configure, and deploy automation workflows using Blue Prism Next Gen’s object and process layers.
Leverage Next Gen features such as cloud-native deployment, microservices, APIs, and advanced orchestration.
Testing & Deployment
Develop and execute unit, integration, and UAT test cases.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring smooth deployment into production environments.
Maintenance & Support
Monitor live automations and proactively identify issues or improvement opportunities.
Provide post-production support, including bug fixes, enhancements, and process optimization.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with business SMEs to validate process requirements.
Document automation designs, exception handling strategies, and operational guidelines.
Share best practices and mentor junior automation developers.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
2–5 years of experience in RPA development, with strong hands-on expertise in Blue Prism Next Gen
Proficiency in automation design, reusable components, and scalable solution architecture.
Understanding of APIs, SQL, web services, and system integrations.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of secure coding, credential management, and compliance within automation.
Preferred:
Blue Prism Developer or Solution Designer Certification (Next Gen certification highly desirable).
Experience with cloud-native automation (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Familiarity with complementary automation tools (AI/ML, OCR, document processing, workflow orchestration).
Exposure to Agile or DevOps delivery methodologies.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and compliance.
Continuous learning attitude to keep up with evolving automation technologies.
