GENERAL FUNCTION:
We are looking for a highly technical applicant with extensive experience solutioning API integrations for enterprise clients. Must be able to work closely with client engineers to troubleshoot and debug API calls, and participate in software architecture discussions. Candidate should have a deep, working knowledge of RESTful API’s, HTTP, SSL/TLS, webhooks, websockets and asynchronous vs synchronous processing. A CS background or prior development experience is preferred. Prior experience working in Banking, Payments or Fintech is also preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- API Onboarding & Integration Support: Once the client is ready to move to onboarding, the Sales Engineer will provide technical guidance on API integration, including Use Case documentation, troubleshooting during onboarding to ensure a smooth implementation and operational success for clients.
- Solution Design: Analyze client requirements to design customized solutions that integrate seamlessly with their existing systems and meet their business objectives. This role will also work closely with our Product and Engineering teams on future enhancements and client requests.
- Industry Knowledge: Understand payments, banking, fintech, and API technologies to provide up-to-date insights and solutions.
- Documentation: Consistent documentation of Use Cases and funds flows while working with clients to identify gaps in product requirements or processes.
- Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients during onboarding, offering expert advice and resolving any technical issues or concerns they may have.
- Technical Consulting: Participate as needed on Sales calls to provide technical solutions consulting focused on our API and Payments products.
- Product Feedback and Improvement: Collect feedback from clients to identify potential product enhancements and work closely with the development team to influence product evolution.
- Documentation/Writing: Must have experience with writing requirements.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent certification a plus but not required.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering role or other related function within Fintech, Payments or Banking working with API integrations.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of payments systems, banking technology, and API integrations. Familiarity with relevant compliance standards is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering departments.
- Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools preferred.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR preferred.
- Certifications related to payments, fintech, or API technologies preferred.
