As the first People hire at Cottage, you will work closely with the Founder & CEO and leadership team to define and execute upon our people vision. You’ll nurture and sustain our high performance culture, help everyone feel challenged and fulfilled at work, and set us up strategically for rapid, scalable organizational growth.
What you’ll do
- Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement our People Ops strategy
- Help us scale our team (2x this year) while maintaining an incredibly high bar for talent
- Build and foster a performance culture that engages and gets the best of our hybrid-remote team
- Provide workforce planning, metrics, and analytics to make data-driven people and culture decisions
- Develop and coach our people managers on effective management and feedback practices
- Oversee the development of our DEI initiatives, ensuring that the company is educated, engaged and actively building a culture of inclusion & belonging
What you’ll need
- 8+ years of experience in People Operations in a high-growth environment, startups preferred
- Experience in leadership coaching, organizational effectiveness, team dynamics and manager development
- Track record of building high performance cultures where people do their best work
- Well-rounded expertise across all general areas of People Ops, including organization design, workforce planning, diversity & inclusion, employee experience, talent and performance management, total rewards, employee relations and employment law
