HCVT is expanding its Business Systems Consulting team and is seeking to add a Business Systems Analyst. This individual will assist with new client onboarding, serve as first-level production support for existing internal and external clients, and contribute to the development and maintenance of proprietary accounting and tax applications.
This position will provide the opportunity to own the application production support process, to participate in the full development lifecycle, and to sharpen technical skills, all while serving and supporting our clients.
Candidates must be local and able to work in the Fort Worth office as needed.
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:
- Investigates, resolves, or escalates incoming business process and technical support requests from various clients for internal accounting and tax applications; proactively communicates issues to management and development teams as needed
- Manages support ticket backlog and prioritizes effectively to meet client service levels; identifies trends in application issues and proactively suggests options to prevent future occurrences
- Supports tasks for custom developed or vendor software including data analysis and mapping, system Participates in full project life cycle for custom developed applications, including documenting requirements, developing and executing test plans and scripts, and producing technical support documentation
- Works collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams throughout implementation cycle to support client on-boarding and support of various accounting and tax applications
- Participates in change management and release management
To be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems and accounting (or some accounting courses) is a plus
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience; accounting experience is a plus
- Strong technical aptitude; experience using MS SQL
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
- Able to learn in a fast paced environment and receptive to feedback and coaching
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written, oral communication and documentation skills
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude, team player mentality, and a can-do spirit
