TRD is looking for a highly motivated Engineer to support our Engine Development Department.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Performs thorough engine performance and durability testing to evaluate development items, which includes test methods, data analysis, and detailed reporting in a timely fashion.

  • This will include end of day summaries of testing status as well as test results.

• Monitors dyno calendar daily to stay abreast of upcoming assigned tests and schedules.

• Communicates test plan prior to test dates to allow Dyno group to be prepared for efficient use of testing resources. 

• Works closely with Dyno Group to coordinate dyno support and development test support when assigned to a particular test.

• Expected to contribute to the Engine Management Development Team, focusing on Durability, Performance, Drivability, and Fuel economy.

• Work with other departments on development of new ideas, testing, and implementation.

A successful candidate will have:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or relative work experience.

• At least 2 years of engine management software function and tuning experience.

• A strong understanding of the function of internal combustion engines.

• Engineering Skills: 

  • Good understanding of basic engineering processes and systems (for design, development, testing and manufacturing).

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written / Teams, etc.

• Self-motivated with strong work ethic.

• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient experience with Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point.

• Working knowledge of engine management software.

• Proficient experience with dynamometer testing.

• Proficient use of calibration tools.

• Understanding and function of combustion analysis software and hardware (Indimaster/Concerto).

A successful candidate may have:

• At least 2 years of automotive racing on a support level.

The annual base salary range for this position is $97,400.00 - $158,200.00.
